One of the goals of developer Simpson Housing Solutions LLC (SHS), was to create housing that is indistinguishable from market-rate products. To build the apartments, SHS received funds from many sources Including the city of Ontario, the state of California, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
