Developed by Bouygues Immobilier and recognized as one of the largest sustainable developments in the Paris region, the building occupies a 1.5-hectare (3.7-acre) landscaped site and has been awarded the High Environmental Quality (HEQ) label—the newest official certification from the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment, a French body focused on improving construction through science and technology. The project was 95 percent leased before completion; 39,500 square meters (425,174 sq. ft.) of the office space is occupied by the European and French headquarters of Microsoft, and 5,500 square meters (59,202 sq. ft.) by Lundbeck pharmaceutical laboratories.

Akaretler Row Houses/W Hotel

Located at the center of Istanbul’s business and hotel district, Akaretler Row Houses were originally built in 1875 by Sarkis Balyan by the order of Sultan Abdülaziz, as an annex to the magnificent Domalbahçe Palace (residence of the Ottoman emperors). The first housing compound project for the Ottoman Empire, the houses represented one of the early cultural steps toward Westernization within the empire in the first quarter of the 19th century. This change is most evident in the neoclassical facade, lacking the influence of the previous baroque and rococo styles. The mixed-use project includes 34 businesses occupying 14,399 square meters (154,990 sf) of office space, 19,436 square meters (209,207 sf) of high-end shops and restaurants, 23 single-family housing units, 21 multifamily housing units, and a 134-room upscale hotel.

Greenbelt 5

Greenbelt 5 is the most recent phase in the continuing development of Greenbelt, a flagship lifestyle center in Makati City, Manila’s central business district. Developed and designed by Manila-based Ayala Land, the four-level, 48,680-square-meter (523,987-sf) Greenbelt 5 is sensitive to the traditions of the Philippines, showcasing the country’s best designers and products. In addition to upscale shopping options, the new retail center preserves two cultural landmarks and offers open spaces for public events in the adjoining Greenbelt Park.

Elements at Kowloon Station

Elements at Kowloon Station is an 82,750-square-meter (890,714-sf) retail complex at the heart of Union Square, the largest mixed-use development in Hong Kong. The high-end shopping center brings to the vast mini-city, built on reclaimed land, retail and nightlife opportunities for residents, businesspersons, and visitors.
